Orange Bread |

106 calories in a half-inch slice
1 cup all-purpose flour, un-sifted |

Grated rind of 1 lemon |
3/4 cup orange juice |
|
1/2 cup chopped nuts |
1 cup shredded wheat biscuits |

2 Tbs. lemon juice |
1 tsp. salt |
|
2 Tbs. oil |
1 tsp. baking soda |
|
4 tsp. FASWEET |
Grated rind of 1 orange |

Place flour, shredded wheat, salt and baking soda in mixing bowl. In separate bowl combine rind, juices, oil, FASWEET and egg; add to dry ingredients and mix thoroughly. Stir in nuts. Grease and flour a small loaf pan (7 3/8 x 3 5/8 x 2 1/4). Add batter. Bake at 3500 for 1 hour or until done. Let cool in pan 5 minutes. Turn out on cooling rack. Makes 1 loaf.
* Break shredded wheat biscuits into fine crumbs or place in plastic bag and roll with rolling pin.
