Banana Nut Bread


144 calories in a 1/2 inch slice

1 1/2 cup all-purpose flour, un-sifted   1 egg
2 tsp. baking powder   2 Tbs. water
1/2 tsp. salt    1/3 cup oil
1/2 tsp. baking soda   1 tsp. vanilla
1 cup shredded wheat biscuits   4 tsp. FASWEET
1 1/2 cups mashed bananas   1/2 cup raisins
1/2 cup chopped pecans  

Place flour, baking powder, salt and soda in mixing bowl.  Crumble shredded wheat biscuits into small crumbs and add to mixing bowl.  In separate bowl, combine bananas, egg, water, oil, vanilla and FASWEET.  Add banana mixture to dry ingredients; mix thoroughly until well blended.  Stir in raisins and pecans.  Pour into a lightly greased and floured loaf pan (9 x 5 x 3).  Bake at 3500 for 60 to 70 minutes or until done when tested.  Cool in pan 5 minutes.  Turn out and cool on rack.  Completely cool before slicing.  (8 long pan makes 16 one-half inch slices.)
