Raisin Spice Cookies |

2/3 cup water |
|
2 Tbs. water |
1/4 cup shortening |
|
1 egg |
1 cup seedless raisins |
|
1/2 tsp. baking soda |
1/4 tsp. nutmeg |
|
1/2 tsp. baking powder |
1 tsp. cinnamon |
|
1/4 tsp. salt |
1/2 tsp. FASWEET |
|
1 cup all-purpose flour |
In saucepan combine water, shortening, raisins, nutmeg and cinnamon. Boil for 3 minutes; cool until pan is just warm on the bottom. Combine FASWEET and water, add to raisin mixture; stir in. Add egg; beat well. Add remaining ingredients and mix thoroughly. Drop by spoonfuls onto a well-greased cookie pan. Bake at 3500 for 8 to 10 minutes or until just barely soft to the touch. Remove from pan and let cool on racks. Makes 2 dozen.
